Senior Accountant

Summary

Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) is a non-profit resource and referral agency located in Louisville, KY that provides a comprehensive approach to coordinating child care services in the local community. For over 50 years, 4-C has supported and enhanced the child care industry and continues its tradition of supporting families by coordinating a vision of a high-quality early childhood care system available to all children and families.

Our agency is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will work with the Director of Finance in performing financial functions & analysis to support the agency.

Duties

1. Prepare necessary reports, billings, statements, and analyses related to financial transactions of the agency.
2. Assure that correct accounting practices are retained within the agency to meet accounting and grant standards.
3. Provide information as needed to assist in grant reporting or proposals.
4. Analyze and prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, as assigned.
5. Perform full function accounting for unrelated child care center partners, as assigned.
6. Prepare bank reconciliations. Responsible for agency accounts receivables and bank deposits.

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or associate degree with five years accounting experience.

Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

1. Must be skilled in the creation and use of Excel spreadsheets and have experience with accounting software.
2. Demonstrated computer literacy skills, using Microsoft Office applications and other basic data systems including internet navigation.
3. Must enjoy detailed work and maintain an organized work style and workspace.
4. Must be honest, dependable, and able to meet strict deadlines.
5. Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
7. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
8. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
9. Must possess a valid driver's license and have regular access to a vehicle covered by liability insurance.
